School transport subsidised tickets
School transport subsidised tickets are intended for upper secondary students who receive school transport support granted by Kela. With a subsidised ticket, you can travel between your home and your educational institution or your on-the-job learning location.
School transport support from Kela is applied for using an online application in the OmaKela e-service (in Finnish and Swedish). To apply for the support independently, the student must have online banking credentials or a mobile ID.
For more information and instructions on how to apply for school transport support, visit www.kela.fi/school-transport-subsidy.
Please note that tickets supported by Kela must always be purchased for one travel card at a time. If you purchase Kela-subsidized tickets for multiple travel cards simultaneously, each purchase will reduce your purchase entitlement separately.
